Four Scheller Alumni Named to Georgia Tech Alumni Association’s 2025 “40 Under 40” List

Four Scheller alumni have been recognized by the Alumni Association in their 2025 "40 Under 40" list.

The Georgia Tech Alumni Association has announced its 2025 “40 Under 40” honorees, and the Scheller College of Business is proud to celebrate four of its own among this year’s standout recipients.  

Congratulations to David Hern, B.S. Management ’08, MBA ’12, and Liz Raman-Grubbs, B.S. Business Administration and Denning T&M ’17 as well as Institute for Leadership and Social Impact (ILSI) students Shannon Evanchec, EnvE ‘16, and Tanay Rajore, IE ‘14. These exceptional alumni exemplify the spirit of innovation, leadership, and service that defines the Scheller community.

 

Shannon Evanchec

Shannon Evanchec, EnvE and Institute for Leadership and Social Impact ‘16 

Shannon Evanchec is a trailblazing environmental engineer and social entrepreneur committed to improving drinking water quality. A proud Yellow Jacket, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering from Georgia Tech in 2016, followed by an MBA from the University of Tennessee in 2021. As co-founder and CEO of TruePani Inc., Evanchec is leading the charge to eliminate lead contamination in drinking water across schools and underserved communities nationwide. Her efforts have already reached 22 states, transforming public health outcomes and earning widespread acclaim, including the InVenture Prize People’s Choice Award and a spot on Knoxville’s “40 Under 40” list.

David Hern

David Hern, B.S. Management ’08, MBA ‘12 

David Hern, CEO of Sofer Advisors, LLC and The Val Guy, LLC, is a serial entrepreneur whose companies specialize in valuation and advisory services. Under his leadership, these firms have earned multiple awards, including Inc. 5000, NACVA’s 40 Under 40, and Atlanta Business Chronicle’s 40 Under 40. Hern’s passion lies in helping business owners tell their unique stories through numbers, offering clarity and strategy in complex financial landscapes. 

Beyond the boardroom, Hern is a dedicated community leader. He serves as a foster parent and contributes his time as a board member for the Georgia Tech men’s lacrosse team, the Atlanta Estate Planning Council, and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. 

Favorite Tech Memory: "Watching Calvin Johnson torch Clemson in Death Valley in 2004 with my girlfriend, who later became my wife."

 

Tanay Rajore

Tanay Rajore, IE and Institute for Leadership and Social Impact ‘14 

Tanay Rajore is a director in PwC Consulting’s Tech Strategy practice, where he directs the firm’s digital product management and launch specialty. From advising global clients on innovative platform strategies to mentoring the next generation of changemakers, Rajore blends technical acumen with a commitment to equity and inclusion. A proud Georgia Tech graduate and the first engineer in a family of doctors in India, he also broke new ground as the first to hold a leadership role in corporate America. As PwC’s Georgia Tech Recruiting Champion, he plays a key role in strengthening the firm’s strategic partnership with the Institute. Passionate about empowering first-generation college students, Rajore exemplifies people-first leadership and impact at scale 

Favorite Tech Memory: "My experiences across Georgia Tech’s Study Abroad, Work Abroad, and Co-Op programs, where I grew through global exposure, work, and exploration."

 

Liz Raman-Grubbs

Liz Raman-Grubbs, B.S. Business Administration and Denning T&M ‘17 

Liz Raman-Grubbs is a trailblazer in the world of supply chain and retail strategy. As the founder of Supply Chain Gals, a nonprofit community of over 20,000 women, she is empowering the next generation of female leaders in business. Currently leading Amazon’s 3P musical instruments strategy, Raman-Grubbs has also driven $1B in growth at Nike and led digital transformation at The Home Depot. 

Her academic and professional journey includes earning a full-tuition AWESOME scholarship at MIT, building Uber Freight’s sustainability strategy, and winning Patagonia’s case competition. With a social media presence that touches over 170,000 early-career professionals, Raman-Grubbs is a force for innovation, purpose, and impact. 

Favorite Tech Memory: "When Nicholas Selby shared at my Freshman Convocation, 'If you want to change the world, you’re at Georgia Tech. You can do that.'"
